Cybersecurity education is of paramount importance in today's digital world. It plays a pivotal role in protecting personal information, preventing cybercrime, safeguarding digital assets, promoting responsible digital citizenship, building a cyber-resilient workforce, fostering innovation and trust, and addressing the global skills gap in cybersecurity.

Students receive an outstanding education from NC-PACE institutions because each institution is designated - or working toward designation - as a National Security Agency Center of Academic Excellence [NCAE-C].

The NCAE-C is a rigorous program designed to create and manage a collaborative cybersecurity educational programs with community colleges, colleges, and universities that:

  • Establishes standards for cybersecurity curriculum and academic excellence,

  • Includes competency development among students and faculty,

  • Values community outreach and leadership in professional development,

  • Integrates cybersecurity practice within the institution across academic disciplines,

  • Actively engages in solutions to challenges facing cybersecurity education.

"Cybersecurity skills should be as fundamental as reading and math skills.”
- Albert Palacios, Director, Cyber Education, White House Office of the National cybersecurity Director
